Patient Information — Everything You Need to Know Before Your Visit to Simcoe Dental Implants

We want every patient who visits Simcoe Dental Implants in Tottenham to feel informed, prepared, and confident before they arrive. This page answers the most common questions we receive from new patients and explains what to expect at every step of the implant journey.

Your First Visit

Your first appointment at Simcoe Dental Implants is a comprehensive consultation — and it is completely free. It includes a clinical examination, an in-house CBCT 3D scan of your jaw, and a detailed discussion of your options. By the end of your first visit, you will have a complete treatment plan with transparent pricing. There is no pressure and no obligation.

The Implant Treatment Process

1. Consultation & 3D Imaging — We assess your bone volume, oral health, and overall suitability for implants using our in-house CBCT scanner.

2. Treatment Planning — Dr. Filo creates a detailed digital treatment plan, including virtual implant placement and the planned final restoration.

3. Preparatory Procedures (if needed) — Some patients require tooth extractions, bone grafting, or other preparatory work before implants can be placed.

4. Implant Placement Surgery — The implant posts are surgically placed into the jawbone under local anaesthetic, IV sedation, or general anesthesia depending on your preference and case complexity.

5. Healing (Osseointegration) — Over the following 3–6 months, the implants fuse with the surrounding bone. During this time, temporary teeth are provided where applicable.

6. Final Restoration — Once healing is confirmed, the permanent crown, bridge, or full-arch prosthesis is attached and adjusted for optimal fit and function.

Sedation Options

We offer oral sedation, IV sedation, and general anesthesia for patients who prefer to be relaxed or completely unconscious during their procedure.

Financing & Payment

We understand that dental implants are a significant investment. We provide complete, itemized pricing at your consultation so there are no surprises. We work with third-party financing providers to offer monthly payment plans.

Patient Documents

Pre-operative and post-operative care instructions, consent forms, and financial agreements are available for download on our Patient Documents page.

After Your Procedure

Following implant surgery, most patients experience mild soreness for 2–4 days, manageable with over-the-counter pain medication. Swelling and bruising are normal and typically resolve within one week. We provide detailed post-operative instructions at every stage of treatment.
