Bone Grafting & PRF in Tottenham — Rebuilding the Foundation for Dental Implants

Dental implants need a solid foundation of healthy jawbone to integrate successfully. When bone has been lost—due to tooth extraction, periodontal disease, trauma, or long-term denture wear—bone grafting can rebuild the jaw to the volume and density required for implant placement.

At Simcoe Dental Implants, Dr. Filo performs both minor and major bone grafting procedures, and enhances every graft with Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) therapy to accelerate healing and improve outcomes.

Types of Bone Grafting We Perform

Socket Preservation Grafts: Placed immediately after a tooth extraction to prevent the socket from collapsing and preserve bone volume for a future implant.

Ridge Augmentation: Rebuilds a narrow or resorbed ridge to create sufficient width and height for implant placement.

Sinus Lifts (Sinus Floor Elevation): Adds bone material to the floor of the maxillary sinus, creating enough bone height in the upper jaw for implant placement.

Block Grafts: Transplants a block of bone (usually from another site in the jaw) to rebuild areas with significant bone deficiency.

Ridge Splitting: A technique that expands a narrow ridge by splitting it and inserting bone graft material, often allowing simultaneous implant placement.

What Is PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin)?

PRF is a regenerative therapy that uses growth factors concentrated from your own blood. A small sample of blood is drawn and centrifuged to produce a fibrin membrane rich in platelets, white blood cells, and growth factors. This membrane is placed at the surgical site, where it accelerates tissue regeneration, improves graft integration, reduces inflammation, and shortens healing time.

Because PRF is derived from your own body, there is no risk of allergic reaction or rejection. Dr. Filo incorporates PRF into virtually every grafting and implant procedure at our clinic. We also offer IV sedation and general anesthesia to ensure your complete comfort throughout the procedure.

Whether you need a small socket graft or major jaw reconstruction to support All-on-4, All-on-6, or a full mouth reconstruction, our team will create a detailed treatment plan using advanced 3D imaging and guided surgical planning. Contact us at (905) 936-4663.
