All-on-4 Dental Implants in Tottenham — A Full Arch of Teeth in a Single Day
The All-on-4 (also called Teeth-in-a-Day) is one of the most transformative procedures in modern implant dentistry. Using just four strategically placed implants per jaw, Dr. Filo can support a complete arch of fixed, non-removable teeth—and in many cases, you walk out of our Tottenham clinic with a brand-new smile the same day.
This approach is especially valuable for patients who are missing all or most of their teeth on one or both jaws, are struggling with loose or uncomfortable dentures, or have been told they don’t have enough bone for traditional implants.
How the All-on-4 Procedure Works
The All-on-4 technique uses two straight implants in the front of the jaw and two angled implants toward the back. The posterior implants are tilted to engage denser bone further back in the jaw, which often eliminates the need for sinus lifts or bone grafting—a significant advantage for patients with moderate to severe bone loss.
Pre-Surgical Planning: Every All-on-4 case begins with a CBCT scan and comprehensive digital planning. Dr. Filo maps the exact position, angle, and depth of each implant before surgery begins, using surgical guides to ensure precision.
Surgery Day: Remaining teeth are extracted (if needed), four implants are placed, and a provisional full-arch bridge is attached—all in one appointment. You leave with functional teeth.
Final Prosthetic: After 3–6 months of healing, the provisional bridge is replaced with a high-strength, custom-designed permanent bridge that looks and feels like natural teeth.
All-on-4 vs. Traditional Dentures
Traditional dentures sit on the gums and rely on adhesive or suction for retention. Over time, the jawbone beneath them shrinks, causing the dentures to become loose, uncomfortable, and poorly fitting. All-on-4 implants are anchored directly in the bone, so they never shift, click, or require adhesive. Because the implants stimulate the jawbone, they also help prevent the progressive bone loss that makes denture patients look aged.
Am I a Candidate for All-on-4 Implants?
The All-on-4 technique was specifically designed for patients with reduced bone volume. The angled posterior implants take advantage of whatever bone is available, often making the procedure possible without bone grafting. However, if bone loss is more extensive, Dr. Filo can combine All-on-4 with pterygoid implants or targeted bone augmentation to achieve a stable result. Nervous about surgery? We offer IV sedation and general anesthesia so you can sleep through the entire procedure.
